Stash Report Week 25

Talk about an absentee blogger....phew, it has been almost 3 months! I feel like starting out "Forgive me Judy. It has been 3 months since my last report" What do you think I would get for penance? LOL

The time just flies when you are having fun. I am still here and these are my numbers the best I can figure:
Used this Week: 2 yards
Used year to Date: 22 yards
Added this Week: 6 yards
Added Year to Date: 8 yards
Net Used for 2014: 14 yards

I am not going to try to catch up completely but will hit the highlights:
Yesterday was the Zumbrota Arts in the Park Quilt Show at the Historic Methodist Church. Here are some of my favorites.

And the People's Choice Winner was:
"Simple Pleasures" by Janet Stark. It was quilted by "Peggy's Custom Quilting" of Minnesota. Janet also received a $50.00 gift Certificate from All in Stitches. Thanks Sandy!

We have also been busy with the car. DH spent the day in the sun while I was working the show.
Zumbrota
People's Choice Award
and
1st Place 1900-1959

Farmington
BIL Tom loading it up.

Fill 'er up
...and Excelsior Bay

There has been quilting going on also.
I ran a "Quilts of Valor" Mystery for our Guild, results in July.
Participating in a Supernova block exchange with a quilter I have never met. It has been so fun getting to know her! The party is here at Late Night Quilter. First blocks...I sent the one on the left and received the one on the right. You make 2 exactly the same and send one! Going to be an awesome quilt! Thanks Amy.
Keeping up with Globetrotting in History by Pat Sloan.

...and
Aurifil BOM
Working on Celtic Solstice, working on borders
Block Swap on Facebook
Carpenter's Star for customer
Guild Habitat for Humanity Quilt, found sashing fabric, now to cut and distribute
Plus parades and parties!

As Always,

Deb

  1. Wow, what gorgeous quilts in such a lovely church!! I also have been a very absentee blogger. Glad someone else is in the same boat. Looks like you are enjoying summer now that we finally have some here in Minnesota.

    1. Hi Beth,
Good to hear from you and yes we try to find some fun when the weather cooperates. The quilts were amazing and Sandy from All in Stitches is going to work with us next year to help implement some ideas we have! You might have to make a road trip. The music is awesome, plenty of fine arts and Quilts!
